Hello everyone,

First of I would like to apologize for not being active with our mutual aid, i have been struggling with my health but am still dedicated to the work and is still running our community mutual aid.

Feeding the Hood Mutual Aid was designed to advocate for those poc living real life day to day trauma. It's a organization ran by black activist fighting for our people while also living in poverty.

Please understand that not every activist have it together. I have been organizing mutual aid while working multiple jobs, and while constantly being in and out the hospital. And it would not be possible to be going for a third year without the supporters we have gained on this platform.

In honor of February we are kicking off our mutual aid! With keeping our pantries loaded with goods for our communities.

Pantry location: 576 Zion Street, hartfod and 127 Martin street Hartford.

Drop off location is also 52 Woodland drive if you have a bigger delivery.

AIR FRYER RECALL

the recall involves the Magic Chef Air Fryer Digital Air Fryer oven with model numbers MCAF56DB (black) and MCAF56DW (white).

The recalled air fryers have “Magic Chef” written on top and rating labels on the bottom have the brand name, in addition to the model number. They were sold online at Newair.com, Walmart.com, Wayfair.com, Amazon.com, and Target.com from July 2018 through September 2020

Tell me there was a heatwave plus drought without telling me…

🥔This is the crop from one of our potato experiments. Potatoes do not like to get too hot - they turn out small, with a small crop. 🥵

We lined a milk crate with a porous barrier material, inspired by . We like this container garden for it’s apartment-friendly small footprint.

Unfortunately, climate change did not help our mid-season spuds.
