The Urban League of Greater Hartford is deeply saddened by the passing of Marie Fort on June 4, 2026. For more than 20 years, Marie faithfully served our community, most notably as a Housing and Urban Development Certified Housing Counselor. Through homebuyer education classes, one-on-one counseling, and her no-nonsense yet caring approach, she helped countless individuals and families achieve greater stability and opportunity.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
