Japan Society of Greater Hartford is happy to share this year's Japan Summer Festival T-shirt! This year's design was created by JSGH Member Brian Heath-san to celebrate the beauty and rich artistic talents of Japanese culture right here in the Greater Hartford area of Connecticut.

Please stop by at the Info booth where the shirts will be on sale throughout the festival. We have a variety of sizes from Extra Small to Extra Large.

Japan Society of Greater Hartford is excited to announce that RYU JAPAN will be performing at this year's Summer Festival at Blue Back Square! He is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Tokyo with over 1 million followers worldwide. Known for his global performances and his theme song to the 2024 Pia Film Festival award-winning movie "End of DINOSAURS", RYU is dedicated to bringing his distinct sound and message to an international stage.

He'll be performing for everyone starting at 4PM. Don't miss it!

Japan Society of Greater Hartford will be back in Blue Back Square in West Hartford Connecticut on June 13th for our 11th annual Japan Summer Festival! Come join us for a fun filled day of events and cultural celebration!

We'll have lots of musical performances, martial arts demonstrations, Obon Odori dance, calligraphy, Taiko drum performance, and more! Best of all, attendance is free and open to the public!

Stay tuned as we will be posting our full program schedule soon. We'll see you there!

A new exhibition is opening at the Elihu Burritt Library at Central Connecticut State University! Starting on June 23rd, a Japan Yokai exhibit will be on display showcasing Yokai culture throughout history all the way to current day through various mediums which includes toys, films, and other media. It'll be on display for three weeks so don't miss it! Check out the flier below for more information.

Our friends at the Japan Society of Fairfield County are also pleased to present Japanese and Japanese American Jersey Weekend! For the July 17th, 18th, and July 19th Dodgers and Yankees games at Yankee Stadium, if you buy tickets here before May 31st, you can get your very own custom-made Yankee jersey with a Japanese cultural accented design!
