Every year SWE Hartford gets together to sign holiday notes to share with a local nursing home. We’re so happy to give back to the community and share the holiday cheer and look forward to this event! Consider joining us next year (PS we also eat lots of cookies!).

Members of SWE Hartford Professional Section met with student members of SWE UHart for a night of networking, discussing topics such as finding a voice for yourself, securing an internship, and how AI is changing the workplace.

✨ CCAT was honored to welcome members of the Society of Women Engineers to our Talent & Training Accelerator this week!

We had an inspiring evening discussing CCAT’s business strategies and programs, followed by a tour of our Digital Thread Lab and Additive Workflows Lab.

💡 The conversations were insightful and highlighted the incredible work SWE does to champion STEM careers.

Today is International Girls Day a day to celebrate girls of all ages and encourage them to pursue their ambitions and develop their potential. At CCAT, we’re proud to support initiatives that empower women and girls in STEM and advanced manufacturing. 🤝

We look forward to future collaborations with this strong community of advocates driving innovation and diversity in technology and manufacturing.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Urban Lodge last night to celebrate our Open House for FY26! We had a great time connecting with new and old friends. Please stay tuned for some other great upcoming events from us, including a tour of the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology.

Our charcuterie event was a success! We learned how to make “flowers,” “fans,” and “ribbons” and how to select a different mix of ingredients, with a focus on making our boards seasonal. Thank you to Jenn and Ellie for teaching us and to Andrea for the amazing mojitos with fresh mint from her garden! Everyone’s boards were beautiful and looked so unique.

Congratulations to SWE Hartford’s two scholarship winners, Laura Park and Sophia Carrier! They are both enrolled at UConn as freshmen this fall. We wish them both the best and were happy to send them off with words of wisdom at a celebratory dinner with them and their families.
