We always love when Travelers Insurance comes to volunteer with us! Today, their team rolled up their sleeves at Freshplace, unloading boxes of donated food, stocking shelves, and helping ensure our pantry is ready to serve individuals and families in our community.

The Recovery & Empowerment Center (REC) enjoyed a wonderful field trip to The Big E! Participants had the opportunity to get out into the community, explore the exhibits, enjoy the festivities, and spend quality time together. Experiences like these encourage social connection, promote community engagement, and create meaningful opportunities for fun, exploration, and empowerment.

Proud to announce that the GHAR Stroll for Charity fundraiser held in June raised $10K to support Chrysalis Center!! Chrysalis Center, Inc. is a non-profit that provides supportive services to assist people in need to transform their lives. Folks enjoyed a stroll to three generous South Windsor restaurants: Red Heat Tavern, Ted's Montana Grill, and Golf Lounge. Thanks to all who made this possible! Organized by the Regional Events and YPN Committees of GHAR.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported our 2026 Butterfly Bash: Mission in Motion! Our signature event of the year celebrates the incredible work happening every day at Chrysalis Center and the lives being transformed through our programs and services.

We were honored to hear from Gerri, one of our amazing clients, who shared her inspiring story and gave us a firsthand look at the impact of Chrysalis Center. Her story is a powerful reminder of what is possible when hope, support, and opportunity come together.

Last week, we had the incredible honor of being recognized as a 2026 Connecticut Business Excellence Award Honoree in the Nonprofit category, hosted by the Hartford Business Journal!

We are so grateful to be recognized for the work we do each day to transform lives and improve communities. This recognition is a wonderful reflection of our dedicated staff, volunteers, supporters, and partners who help make our mission possible.
