Volunteers will be there Saturday to help folks fill out FEMA applications from 12-2.

We never post rumors (though we sure hear a lot, and most are true), we post public records that can't be denied. Hartford is still very much in danger of a $2 BILLION development plan that has been moving forward in the shadows since January 2020. As of June 2024 they now have a corporation along with the Velocity LLC that still exists. Investors have purchased well over 1200 acres, two rafting companies, and probably more we haven't found yet because it's all a cloak and dagger game. At least 3 of the partners in velocity are either living here or here regularly, and while we have to chase public records to find clues, they continue working to find investors to attain their goals. Make no mistake, if they succeed it will be at the cost of our environment and culture.

Check out this recent news article on WBIR about the Hartford Development. It is the first time we have heard Mayor Mathis even admit he's talked with the Velocity partners. We are working hard to continue forward with demanding transparency and accountability when it comes to the growth and development in Hartford, and to save our mountain paradise from an unsustainable $2 Billion development plan that has been moving forward over the past several years under secrecy and through unethical practices. Responsible growth and development require not only public awareness and input, but that that the residents and ecosystems are treated as stakeholders in the process with a vision for future generations as well.

Dana Caton started the Save Hartford page after documents were leaked to her that showed a potential large-scale development in the area.
