🇺🇸 September 11 — We Will Never Forget

Today, the Society of Latin American Firefighters joins our nation in remembering the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the 343 FDNY firefighters, along with the police officers, emergency personnel, military members, and countless heroes who responded with extraordinary courage and sacrifice. We also remember those who continue to suffer—and those we have lost—from illnesses related to the rescue and recovery efforts.

Their bravery, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We remember the fallen. We honor the survivors. We stand with their families.

Nunca olvidaremos. We will never forget. 🇺🇸🚒

🇺🇸 September 11, 2026 - Never Forget 🇺🇸

25 Years Later, We Remember.

On this 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001, the Hartford Fire Department honors and remembers the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost in the cowardly attacks on our nation.

We remember the first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away. We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, military members, and civilians who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We also remember the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who gave their lives defending our freedom in the years that followed, as well as the countless first responders who have since lost their lives to illnesses connected to their service at Ground Zero and other 9/11 sites.

Twenty five years later, the pain of that day remains, but so does our resolve. Those who sought to weaken our nation instead reminded us of the strength, courage, and unity of the American people.

Today, we honor their sacrifice by remembering their names, their courage, and the lives they touched.

We will never forget!
