And yet, CT's regressive tax structures leaves those earning the least to pay 30% of their income in taxes while the wealthiest in our state pay only 7% of their income in taxes. This isn't right! We need revenue reform that requires the wealthy pay what they owe in taxes - now that would make A Better Connecticut.

CT is the second wealthiest state in the nation, and yet we pay our teacher 17% percent less than their similarly educated peers. CT paraeducators don't get benefits or wages in the summer. This isn't right. No wonder we have 1200 teacher vacancies and 1300 paraeducator vacancies accross CT! Paying our school in employees what they deserve and giving them benefits is what makes A Better Connecticut!
