⭐⭐We are extending the registration deadline to June 26!⭐⭐

We are excited to offer a virtual Overshot workshop with Jill Staubitz this Summer! Weave on your own loom and connect with Jill and other workshop students from the comfort of your own home via Zoom.
This workshop focuses on Overshot and its exquisite design possibilities. Starting with the basics, you'll examine Overshot's threading, tie up, and treadling rules. You'll discuss halftones, Star and Rose fashions, turning a twill draft into an Overshot draft, name drafting and deciphering an Overshot profile draft.
This workshop is a four-week "weave along." Prior to the first session, students will be sent three Overshot drafts, and may choose one to work on in class. Each session is approximately two to three hours with a total of four sessions, and the participants are encouraged to weave independently between sessions. Each session will be recorded to that weavers can review the Zoom at home between sessions.

⭐Rigid Heddle Weavers⭐

We are excited to offer a 2 Day Workshop with Katie Strano June 22 and 23, 2026!

In this workshop, weavers will be introduced to Log Cabin. Students will learn how to use the indirect warping method on their rigid heddle looms. You will first measure out the warps on warping boards before attaching the warp yarn to the looms. Choosing indirect warping in some color-and-weave effects allows for specific color placement without having excessive crossing of warp yarns behind the rigid heddle reeds. Students will then explore Log Cabin first by weaving a set of mug rugs, then by designing and weaving a set of towels.

Happy Weaving Wednesday.... or should we say Happy Sewing Wednesday?!

An update on the Torah cover fabric project we have been working on for Beth Sholom B'nai Israel. Many thanks to Rene who zig-zagged all of the edges of fabric on the sewing machine and prepared the fabric for the next steps. The fabric is now at Custom Judaica where it will be finished into the actual covers!
