Today is ! Women-owned businesses are growing rapidly and contributing significantly to the U.S. economy, yet women entrepreneurs continue to face barriers to accessing capital. According to the 2025 Women Business Ownership Fact Sheet from NORC, women-owned businesses are substantially less likely than men-owned businesses to receive the full amount of funding they request.
Access to capital can determine whether a business can expand, hire employees, invest in resources, or pursue new opportunities. Closing this funding gap is an important step toward creating a more equitable environment for women entrepreneurs.
Women continue to demonstrate their ability to build successful businesses and strengthen communities. Ensuring they have equal access to the resources needed to grow can help their impact reach even further.
