Awesome volunteers, ASSEMBLE!

Do you have a group of friends who are looking for a fun summer project? We are looking for volunteers to host summer meals for our guests at South Park Inn.

A meal must be large enough to feed all 105 guests. You have the option to drop off a meal, have a meal delivered, or bring your team in to prepare/serve the meal yourselves.

You’re invited to Dance it out with South Park Inn!

Why is a homeless shelter throwing a dance party?

Life is a lot right now. For all of us.

As staff at a homelessness service provider organization, we know firsthand how heavy the world can feel, especially when fighting to keep people safe and get them housed while dealing with many levels of uncertainty.

So, we decided to crank up the cheer with live music and dancing at our 2nd annual fundraiser, Dance It Out! 🪩

The idea is to get down on the dance floor while supporting a critically needed mission.

Join us this Saturday for the Spring Health Fair!

EVERYONE IS WELCOME 🩺

On June 6 from 11-1, the UConn School of Medicine will host a free health fair in the courtyard of South Park Inn.

The fair will offer check-ups, resources, and giveaways.

A HUGE thank you to the UConn School of Medicine students across various specialties who volunteer their time and expertise to run a weekly Outreach Clinic at South Park Inn.

Yesterday, several SPI team members attended the 23rd Annual Training Institute, hosted by the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness.

This year’s theme, "Together We Learn, Together We Lead: Creating a Culture of United Response," recognized the outstanding efforts of CT's homelessness services and highlighted the strong collaboration and collective impact that happens each and every day, working to prevent and end homelessness.

The ATI is an amazing opportunity that provides inspiration and information on how we can further strengthen our cooperative relationships, build new ones, and work together to ensure that all people receive the services and housing they need.

Thank you, DXC Technology, for transforming our courtyard today!

This hardworking team cleaned up our outdoor spaces, brought in fresh mulch and stones, and planted some beautiful flowers for our front steps.

Just in time, too! Our guests will be able to enjoy the nice warm weather with a new and improved courtyard!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the congregation at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Last Sunday, they hosted our Director of Development for a talk on homelessness in Greater Hartford, how South Park Inn works, and how the community can help.

We would also like to give a huge shoutout to the youth of Westminster, who created this beautiful poster, now proudly displayed in the lobby of our shelter.

Attention Hockey Fans,

It's time for the big game!
The annual Guns vs Hoses Hockey Tournament is this Saturday.

Check out a snapshot of last year's festivities, and get ready for another year of friendly competition and camaraderie. At Guns vs Hoses, local police and fire departments battle it out for bragging rights and for a great cause. Then, after the tournament, you can watch the Hartford Wolf Pack play against the Charlotte Checkers.

The best part: A portion of each ticket will go to South Park Inn to support our Veterans program.
