Congratulations, Rylee!
Join us in congratulating Rylee Dunica, the recipient of the 2025 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for Blackford County! 🥳
Rylee, a senior at Blackford High School, has always been motivated by his family’s example of hard work and success. "I strive to make them proud and become successful, they have been great examples of that," Rylee shared. Outside of academics, Rylee is passionate about theatre, which has not only allowed him to express his creativity but has also helped him grow in confidence and improve his teamwork and communication skills. "Theatre has helped me grow in confidence, and I enjoy immersing myself in the storylines," he said.
After graduation, Rylee plans to attend either Ball State or Purdue University to major in Social Services. "In today’s society, everyone has struggles, and I would like to help them," he explained. His dedication to making a positive impact on others is at the heart of his future goals.
When asked about the significance of receiving the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship, Rylee said it would mean so much to him and his family. "I know it would make my family proud," he shared. He also expressed deep gratitude for the ongoing support and inspiration from his parents, Holly and Rick Dunica, and his brother, Rydge, who have always encouraged him to strive for excellence.
As the recipient of this scholarship, Rylee will receive full tuition, required fees and up to $900 annually for books and equipment for up to four years of undergraduate study.
We are incredibly proud of Rylee’s achievements and can’t wait to see the amazing things he will accomplish in the future. Congratulations, Rylee!
