Come out and join us for a Lawn Bowling social open house on June 19th at 5pm. We will meet at the clubhouse for greetings and refreshments. We will then head to the courts (rinks) for some instructional and open play. Totally FREE and the public and club members are welcome. Try something new! Looking forward to seeing you.

All the equipment is provided. Just wear comfortable clothes and flat soled shoes.

Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club Open House

You are invited to an Open House at the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club this Sunday, June 14, at 1pm.

The Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club, located at 1860 Twiggs Ferry Rd in Harfield, is welcoming everyone to an Open House on Sunday at 1pm. Visitors will receive free instruction on how to play and then be paired up with an experienced player for game play.

CBCC has all of the equipment you will need and all you need to do is show up. Coaches at the club will set you up with equipment and instruction to get started.

Are you looking for something FUN to do this Memorial Day Weekend?

The Blue Crab Arts & Crafts Festival is “Made in the Shade” on May 23 & 24 in Hartfield

The Festival will take place in Hartfield on the grounds of the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club at 1860 Twiggs Ferry Rd. Parking and attendance are free. This event features original, handcrafted works of art with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship. There will be 60 or more arts and crafts vendors. In addition, there will be at least 10 food vendors offering a superb selection of culinary delights including: steamed crabs, oysters, lobster rolls, Mediterranean fare, BBQ and much more. There will be music, Zoll Vineyards will be serving wine, and Gloucester Brewery will be serving beer. There will be activities for people of all ages including free croquet and lawn bowling lessons and games.

The festival will run rain-or-shine and the vendors, music, and beer/wine garden are in the shade, under a large and beautifully manicured pine grove. The festival starts at 10am each day and ends at 4pm.

The host of this festival, the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club, is celebrating 10 years of playing on championship grade courts. The Club is the largest croquet facility in the world. The club wants to share its facility and its fun-loving activities with everyone in the community.
