As we enjoy this beautiful sunny weather and watch our community garden thrive, we want to give a special shout-out to three generous individuals who have donated their time and talents to help the hard work of our 4-H volunteers continue to flourish.

A heartfelt thank you to Doug Bacon, Lew Bancroft, and Mark Butcher for rototilling, installing new sprinklers to keep the garden watered, and helping maintain the plants throughout the season. Your dedication and support make a tremendous difference, and we are so grateful for all you do to keep our garden growing strong.

3 of our dynamic leaders advocating on our MASC Board of Directors presented at the National Council on Aging conference on the transformation state associations play in blazing the trail for seniors.

As a Board we are so proud of where we have taken MASC as an aging association recently and personally, each Board member adds to the vitality that is the growth and revitalization of our organization. Shout out to Kim Phillips, Stephanie Moore and Maureen McFadden for representing our state and serving our Michigan seniors with purpose and passion!

Session: State Associations: Engines for Senior Center Success "State associations play a transformative role in elevating senior centers, expanding their visibility, and unlocking access to meaningful funding streams. Michigan's model-demonstrates how intentional restructuring, unified advocacy, and professional collaboration can translate into tangible statewide gains. Over the past year, the Michigan Association of Senior Centers (MASC) has strategically reshaped its organizational framework, resulting in unprecedented access to funding, increased representation within the aging network, and strengthened professional standards for senior center leadership. This session will share Michigan's blueprint for success and empower other states to replicate and adapt this model. By highlighting practical steps, structural approaches, and advocacy strategies, we aim to inspire and equip others to build or strengthen their own associations, ensuring senior centers nationwide receive the recognition, resources, and support they deserve."

The votes are in for the new bus color! This opportunity for a new bus color is made possible through MDOT.

We were curious which bus color our staff and volunteers were hoping for, so we asked them! Check out the video to see which color was most popular in the office and watch till the end to see the winning color voted for by YOU!

Thank you to everyone for voting! We are excited to see this vibrant and bright new bus in action soon!
