Once and a while you get call for something not really in your wheel house. Today I received a call out of Fountain Mi. north of Custer. This juvenile Bald Eagle hit some powerlines, fell to the road, and wouldn't move. I picked up our patient under instruction from Amber at Soulshine Wildlife Rescue. This rather large ominous bird has or is arriving at Wildside in Eaton Rapids as I write this. While being in the beginning of a winter storm Amber and I facilitated a number of people to get our patient to Eaton Rapids. This kept people close to home during a storm, yet moved Mr. Eagle a great distance, to receive help.

All played a part in todays rescue.
And yes, Nozzlemen M/C is a motorcycle club. We are all current or retired firefighters that love to ride, and give back to the community. Thank you Kodiak for you help transporting our Eagle friend.

Without your generosity, we could not respond to rescue missions, or provide long-term recovery and sanctuary for the animals who need us as well as other specialized rehabbers. The State of Michigan and the DNR do NOT help us feed these animals, help us provide medical attention for these animals, or help us pay the electric or heat bill to house these animals.
