We are planning big things for 2023 to help families in need at Christmas time. Not only at Christmas time but we want to make this all throughout the year. So we're going to host a Christmas in July event. We want to give out special bags of turkeys with the dinner fixings and precious gifts for kids and moms and dads alike. I have it in my heart to share what I have been given with others to make their life a little bit more joyful. I hope that you will join me in making this vision a reality.
I'll keep you updated as to the progress of this vision unfolding. So far I've got authors donating children's books and inspirational books and cookbooks for moms. Even earrings handmade and note cards that are handmade. I've got crocheted Afghans and lap quilts and mittens already in stock or being shipped right after Christmas here. I am very excited about this. It's something that I've been envisioning and dreaming of for 4 years since our son died. It's in his memory that we do this.
He died at Christmas time 5 years ago. We miss him terribly. People magazine picked up his story while he was in the hospital for 6 weeks. If you go to people.com and just search Dale Kompik.
