Those with bipolar personality disorder suffer in silence as they battle demons on the inside of their lives with depressive lows and manic highs.

I have suffered at the hands of those I instinctively trusted when I was just a little girl.

I was molested as a toddler who could not yet speak.

It changed me.

It set me apart from the rest of my family as I grew up. My perspective was different than the rest of them. How I saw the world was not nice. I felt very unworthy of love on any basic level. Because I saw my world as an unsafe place to be, I was deemed unlikeable, unlovely, less than pretty, a trouble maker by my family that was supposed to love me as a child is supposed to be loved.

I never knew that love. And I grew up a very troubled young woman without knowing what was so wrong with me.

At age 45, I finally found out the truth of my existence.
