Our second ever speaker. I had the chance to spend some time with him several times including a great talk at an Iron Sharpens Iron event. Wonderful man with a true heart for Christ. You will be missed my friend.
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our dear brother, Dave "Mac" McIntyre. On Friday, November 22nd, Mac was called home and was found unresponsive in his bed. While our hearts ache at his absence, we take comfort in knowing that Mac went to sleep here and woke up in the presence of our loving Savior.
Mac's impact on Set Free was immeasurable, leaving a legacy that will indeed echo into eternity. He served with a heart full of faith, kindness, and devotion to God. His memory will remain a light in our community.
Mac is survived by his beloved daughters Erin (husband, John Hunley) and Karina, his son Daniel, and his precious grandchildren Zoe and Matthias. Our prayers and love are with them during this difficult time. While we await the official cause of death, we rejoice in the assurance that Mac is now in the glory of God's presence, free from pain and filled with everlasting joy.
As we grieve, we cling to the promise of Jesus:
"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.'" – John 11:25-26
Mac's life was a testimony to this hope, and we trust that he is now experiencing its fullness.
Thank you for joining us in remembering and honoring Mac. Please keep his family in your prayers, and may we all find comfort in the grace of our Lord.
(We’ll update you on funeral arrangements as they become available.)
