🎨 CAMP: ART is HERE!!!! 🤗

📆When: Every Thur in July 5:30-7 pm
📍Where: Harrod Event Center
💁🏽‍♀️🙋🏼‍♂️Who: Students ages 12-18

What: CAMP: ART
- learn foundational skills
- make art with a studied artist
- build community with other artists too!

⭐️With an open gallery art show the final week to show your art!⭐️

Lead by art instructor Jasmine Johnson, Senior in the Fine Arts Program at Ohio University

Each week she will spend time teaching the students the set of foundational skills you need to make a completed art piece. We will have open studio time to create together and for one-on-one questions.

✏️Week 1 : Graphite
- values, perspective

🐢Week 2 : Clay
- function

🎨Week 3: Painting
- color theory, composition

💖Week 4: Mixed-Media
- open ended

✨Week 5: Show for the students art, open to family and friends

Cost: $150 for entire camp series
Includes: all art materials, refreshments, and art gallery to proudly show the students work 🤩

The kids have been practicing their songs for the VBS performance at the Pork Rind Festival!

The performance is on Saturday at 1pm this year! The kids will get to sing and dance on stage immediately following the parade!

Wanted to get this posted today. Next Sunday 6/14/26 is annual our Homecoming Service (9520 Harrod Rd. Harrod, OH). We would love to have you come join us and celebrate year 3 of Rooted in Faith Fellowship. We are Praying for a great service and The Lord to bless us. We would love to have you come worship with us! So I am giving you a personal invite for next Sunday, there will be dinner and fellowship to follow after service.

*Main Street between 2nd and 3rd-closed until Sunday June 14th until noon

*Temporarily close 2nd Street between main and Walnut-Reopen once the tent is up and trucks have exited.

*4pm Main Street between 3rd and 4th-Closed until Sunday morning at 6am.
*3rd Street between Walnut and Oak-Closed until Sunday morning at 6am.
*2nd Street between Walnut-Closed until Sunday morning at 6am

Friday, June 12th at 7am
*2nd Street between Walnut and N. Oak-Closed until Sunday at 6am.
12:30pm
Harrod Park to close, closing rest of 2nd Street (local traffic only).

Saturday, June 12th
7am
*4th Street between Walnut and Oak.
*Main Street continued from 4th to 5th.

The festival is asking for the road to be clear of any parked cars at this time for the car show. At 6pm the car show closes and will open back up to normal traffic on these streets listed above.

The festival committee understands that this can be an inconvenience to residents of the streets impacted and village residents who see the increase in traffic. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and cooperation. The festival has always been and will remain a fun family friendly event where the entire community can come out for fun, fellowship, and family! Thank you Harrod residents for their part in keeping the tradition alive!

🎨 ART BOOT CAMP coming this July to the Harrod Event Center! 🤩

Meet Jasmine: 🥰

Jasmine believes art is a means of communication. She hopes by holding this “boot camp” to teach young, impressionable artists the foundational skills, language of the big “art world,”and how to express themselves visually. 🖌️

Currently an endorsed senior at Ohio University, obtaining her BFA in Painting and Drawing.

Jasmine is more than excited to share what she learned so far and open a space where ART, CREATIVITY, and UNIQUENESS are CELEBRATED! 🤗

Open to ages 12-18 years old.
