On August 15, 2026, the Friends of Negwegon State Park, in partnership with the Michigan DNR and with support from Besser Museum, will host a Dark Sky Event on the beautiful Lake Huron shoreline at Negwegon State Park.

Volunteers Needed for the Negwegon Dark Sky Event

Friends of Negwegon State Park is looking for volunteers to help with our Dark Sky Event on Saturday, August 15, at Negwegon State Park.

Volunteers may assist with welcoming guests, directing parking and foot traffic, helping with setup and cleanup, supporting event activities, and guiding visitors safely before and after dark.

No astronomy experience is needed. We are simply looking for friendly, dependable people who would like to help make this special evening a success.
