Cass County Rescue Mission

Cass County Rescue Mission Cass County Rescue Mission is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 faith based organization reaching out to those in need, in our community. MO.

We are not a shelter for the homeless, we reach out as needs arise. Mark Roach was called to go outside the church walls and preach at the City Union Mission in Kansas City, Missouri in the men's shelter. While serving there, the Lord laid on his heart to open up a mission in Cass County because there wasn't one in the area. They started out with much prayer and lots of meetings to discuss and pra

y for God’s direction. They organized a banquet in April of 2012 and had over 300 people attended. The sale of those tickets is what allowed them to open in May of 2012 with the help of a group of believers that shared the same vision. They prayerfully serve people in their community as the Lord leads. Mark and his wife Angela live in Harrisonville, Missouri as they co-labor together for this mission. They have been married for 41 years and have 2 grown sons, Joshua Roach and his wife Ashley and a granddaughter Olivia Noelle who live in Littleton, CO and Mark Roach Jr. & Angela who live in Lee’s Summit.

Mark and I want everyone, that were involved in this ministry to know, how grateful we are to all that volunteered at the mission with their time. We want to thank all the church groups that served wonderful meals there (too many to list), all the families, Bible study groups, ministry groups, ect.. And a special thanks to the San Nicolas family who covered and came when I asked them to, they shared in this ministry like no other when it came to our meals. Also the band, “After the Flood Before the Fire” what wonderful music we had!! Thank you to all who played music there, we were beyond blessed!

Thank you to all the generous people that gave to the mission, we were always amazed. We never asked for money and the Lord provided everything we needed and then some. We never believed in passing a plate, asking for money, sending envelopes to people once they gave or putting pressure on people to give. We never expected our guests to give, but many did. Lots of individuals gave and people we didn’t even know, but believed in the ministry. We always believed if you are doing God’s will He will provide. Mark and I were new to ministry and we learned a lot, we just wanted to help those in need, but most importantly the gospel was preached every time we were open and that right there was the reason for it all. We thank all that helped us in many, many ways. We especially thank all of our guests, we met so many and are grateful for every one.

Thank you to the precious couple that bought and gave us our building, what an incredible gift. There wasn’t a time we rented the building out to make money off of the gift we were given. We graciously let those use it that wanted it for special occasions, for events and we allowed Journey Outpost to have their co-op meet there. Having this ministry was a blessed time, but also some heart breaking situations happened and we are grateful to the Lord for getting us through them. We will not dwell on them though, because the blessings were much, much more. Mark and I still have our ministry, this page and we still reach out to those when the Lord leads. Our building was given to another ministry and we wish them well. Thank you all again for the last 14 years it was quite a ride and a season for us that we will never forget and always be grateful to those that came along side us.

Thank you again for serving the Lord with us, it was the most blessed time, to God be the glory.

Mark & Angela Roach
