What a fun, action-packed stretch of summer it’s been at Our Village Adult Day Program! ☀️✨

Here is a look at what our group has been up to lately:

🎡 Rockingham County Fair — We had a blast exploring the fairgrounds, visiting the animals in the barn (including making a few furry friends!), enjoying golf cart rides, and sipping on refreshing cold treats. 🐐🍦

🥧 Baking Fresh Goodness — Nothing beats summer flavors! We used freshly picked blueberries and peaches to whip up some delicious homemade treats in our kitchen. 🫐🍑

✈️ Shenandoah Valley Airport — We visited the airport sign and spent time watching planes take off through the observation windows.

🎨 Art & Inspiration — We checked out the vibrant outdoor art exhibit near VMRC, taking in the stunning murals and creative displays. 🎨🖌️

🌅 Caregiver Morning Out is Starting Back Up!

Caregivers, take a well-deserved breath! Caregiver Morning Out is back to give you a dedicated block of time to rest, run errands, or simply recharge while your kiddos have a blast.

While you take time for yourself, your children will enjoy an engaging morning of crafts, games, and social play in a safe, nurturing environment led by our CPR-certified staff and trained volunteers.

📅 When: First Saturday of Every Month | 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM (Starting on September 12 because of Labor Day weekend)
👶 Who: Children with disabilities and/or neurodiversity + their siblings (Ages 0–12)

💆‍♀️ Bonus Feature: Onsite Caregiver Massages!
Make your morning out even more restorative! We are thrilled to welcome Sarah Blake Alison of Blake Alison Bodywork, who will be onsite offering paid massage services specifically for caregivers during program hours.

🥖 What an unforgettable afternoon at The Loft at Liberty St. We shifted gears this year into a relaxed, picnic-style community gathering, and it was truly special.
