Thank you to everyone who joined us for this month's Aging in Place Council meeting at Bridgewater Retirement Community!

We appreciate our host for providing a welcoming space for meaningful conversations, networking, and learning. Attendees enjoyed an engaging session, "Caring, Connecting & Thriving: A Holistic Wellbeing Workshop for Those Supporting Aging Adults," along with continued discussions about the future of the council and ways we can better serve our community.

A special thank you to everyone who shared their ideas, experiences, and insights. Together, we're building stronger connections and resources that help older adults thrive and age well in our community.

What an incredible evening at the 2026 Connections Showcase!

Thank you to everyone who joined us to connect with local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations from across Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. The energy in the room was a powerful reminder of what makes our business community so special—relationships, collaboration, and a shared commitment to strengthening our region.

We had a wonderful time celebrating this outstanding group last Thursday at Massanutten Resort, where we heard about the projects they completed and the impact they have already made in our local community.

Leadership Harrisonburg-Rockingham brings together developing leaders from across our region to build community awareness, strengthen leadership skills, and deepen connections that help make Harrisonburg and Rockingham County a better place to live, work, and lead.

Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of celebrating the ribbon cutting for the Our Village Day Program at Adagio House. It was wonderful to tour their space, connect with their staff, and learn more about this exciting new program.

This Medicaid-funded and licensed adult day program was created to provide adults with disabilities a welcoming space for connection, community engagement, life enrichment, and meaningful daily support. The launch of this program marks a major milestone, not only for Adagio House, but for our broader community as well. It creates a space where caregivers and their loved ones can thrive while receiving the support they need.

We’re grateful to Adagio House for their vision and commitment to serving our community in such a meaningful way, and we’re excited to see the positive impact this program will have for years to come.
