Dance4Life-Harrisonburg, VA The girls range in age from 4 years old to 17 years old. We incorporate activities that please all age groups!

Through Dance4Life we are able to provide girls with the opportunity to take dance classes every other weekend, build strong friendships with their peers as well as their JMU-student mentors, and have fun while doing so! A typical day at Dance4Life includes:
-picking the girls up from their homes using a van we rent thanks to donations that can be made here: http://www.gofundme.com/8hv0bk
-teachin

g the girls a dance class that includes a warm up, a combination, and a cool down
-practicing the dance they are currently working on for their end-of-the-semester show held at Court Square Theatre in downtown Harrisonburg
-Healthy snack time
-A bonding circle in which each of the girls and their mentor share one "high" (good thing) and one "low" (not so good thing) about their week. We usually aim for all highs and no lows!
-A wrap up of the day which includes games such as freestyle dance and freeze dance.
-Transporting the girls back to their homes via the van, and calling it a day!

Dance For Life is a service project through JMU's Dance Theatre Organization. We provide free dance classes and an uplifting message on the weekends to students in Kindergarten through High School.
