Local playwright and Eastern Mennonite University alumni, Ingrid De Sanctis, returns to the EMU stage with a solo performance inspired by the play Stained Glass, hailed as the Best New Play in Dayton, Ohio in 2020 by the Dayton Daily News. This new adaptation, sponsored by a grant from the Center for Art, Humor and Soul, reinvents Ingridโ€™s original play, Stained Glass, into a carousel of characters, stories, and memories written and performed by Ingrid De Sanctis, as part of her first full-length solo performance.

In this play, a preacher's daughter revisits her faith, her family and the victims of a sexual scandal, which tore her family apart nearly 40 years before. Inspired by Ingridโ€™s own Pentecostal roots, the Things I Forgot is a theatrical experience that inspires and challenges audiences to think about their own journeys through faith and family.

Play runs without intermission: 75-80 minutes
