Thank you to those who have donated to the ASU fundraiser! All of the money that we have raised will be donated directly to the ACLU! Even though our fundraiser has ended, it doesn’t mean that all of this is over. Continue the conversations and remember, just because you don’t see the injustice right in front of you, doesn’t mean it not happening.

Happy Juneteenth! Keeping in mind the ongoing protests and policy reforms, JMU ASU wants to provide our members with a helpful guide on how to be an ally. This is also a reminder that our ACLU fundraiser is ongoing and your donations are merely one way you can be an ally to the black community!

Words of Advice for the Youngsters: If it doesn’t bring you joy then yeet it out of your life (nicely)
Thank you to ASU for being there for me throughout my four years of college. When I starting out at JMU, someone told me “you will never fit in by being yourself.” Thank you for proving them wrong and making me a better version of myself. For these past four years I have had the honors of being ASU’s Public Relations (2017), Senior Advisor (2018), and External Vice President (2019). The most unforgettable thing and the thing I will miss the most is the people and the energy 😢. From our late night at carrier, to our fun events, and stressfulness of culture show; I wish I could live through it all again. Thank you for one of the best college memories I’ll ever make.
After graduating, I’ll be attending grad school at JMU for Secondary Education. After finishing grad school, I hope to either (depending on where life takes me) teach high school math, teach English aboard, or work as a mathematician for the government.
I don’t usually shoutout or cross org borders about bigs and littles but shoutout to my VSA littles and for being so understanding when I prioritized exec duties. Thank you to my CSA big Thien for always supporting me when I was having breakdowns and folding 75% of my laundry when you came down. My CSA littles and for always being excited to get food and hang out. Shoutout also to my CSA siblings , , and for being the best set of awkward and lovable siblings. Thank you to my KSA gbig my big Yoo and my twin for always pulling through when I needed y’all the most in my life (even though we are terrible at planning family stuff).
There is way too many people in KoRiya to @ but just know I love each and every single one of you whether we talk or not. If you ever want to talk, I’m always here regardless if you’re my big or little. Please keep in touch and invite me to family stuff even after I’m gone 🥺
