Our Story

Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi is the fastest growing Jewish sorority in North America. Our chapter, Mu, was established at James Madison University (JMU) in 2010 and has continued to grow and strive. We stand by the motto of โ€œJewish first, Greek secondโ€ and are associate members of the Panhellenic Council at JMU. Currently, we have 13 active sisters and are creating a better Jewish awareness and presence on our campus through our involvement in a plethora of organizations including other Jewish organizations like Hillel, Chabad, and temple Beth El.

Our national philanthropy is American Jewish World Service (AJWS) and our local philanthropy is the Rockingham/Harrisonburg SPCA. We to help support these organizations, we host a variety of fundraising events throughout the year, including an All-You-Can-Eat Pie event held every spring.
