‼️Important Voting Rights Update for Virginians Under Guardianship ‼️

Beginning July 1, 2026, Virginia law changes how voting rights are handled when a guardian is appointed. Previously, voting rights were automatically removed unless someone argued to keep them. Under the new law, voting rights will now be preserved unless the court specifically determines and explains why they should be removed.

If your voting rights were previously removed, you may be able to petition the court to have them restored.

This change helps support greater access to civic participation and ensures voting rights are not taken away without court review.

AgrAbility Virginia supports farmers, farmworkers, and their families experiencing illness, injury, or disability by promoting safety, wellness, and accessibility on the farm. Their services are provided at no cost through funding from USDA NIFA.

✔️ Educational resources and trainings

✔️ Community service coordination and outreach

AgrAbility Virginia works with individuals experiencing a wide range of conditions including arthritis, spinal cord injuries, amputations, visual or hearing impairments, brain injuries, stress, and anxiety.

AgrAbility Virginia promotes safety, wellness, and accessibility on the farm through education, rehabilitative services, and assistive technology.
