Our training for makeup was not just a learning opportunity for our beneficiaries but also a shared experience because they were able to bond over their common interest and passion for beauty. They were also able to relate to one anotherโ€™s challenges, successes, and aspirations. Thus, fostering a sense of belonging and understanding within the community.

This training provided a space for our participants to support and uplift one another. They can now offer encouragement, advice, and constructive feedback to help each other improve their skills to one another. Women can share their makeup journey, exchange tips and tricks, and celebrate each other's progress. This supportive environment cultivates a positive and empowering atmosphere, boosting confidence and self-esteem.

Exciting Announcement: Makeup Training Program Successfully Completed! ๐ŸŽ‰

We are thrilled to share that our month-long makeup training program for women and young girls in Kinshasa in the complexe scholaire Amani (school) has come to a successful conclusion! ๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ’„

Throughout the program, we empowered participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to express their unique beauty and enhance their self-esteem. Here's why this training is so important:

Self-expression and creativity

Boosting self-confidence

Economic empowerment

Breaking stereotypes

Community and connection

Makeup is a powerful form of self-expression. Thus, our participants discovered new ways to showcase their creativity and individuality through learning different techniques and exploring various styles. We believe that every woman and girl deserve the opportunity to embrace and celebrate their uniqueness.

We are incredibly proud of each participant's dedication and progress throughout the program. Their commitment to learning and growth has been truly inspiring. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the participants of our makeup training program!

A big thank you to our sponsors (Vijana Africa & Amani School), and volunteers who made this program possible. Together, we are creating a brighter and more inclusive future for women and young girls in the DR Congo.

Stay tuned for more updates and upcoming opportunities to continue their learning journey. Let's celebrate the power of makeup and the limitless potential within each one of us! please, follow us .org Kiota Global .

We conducted a focused group evaluation on the root causes of girls dropping out of school in the DR Congo in an underserved area in Kinshasa and we are happy to share our findings with you. We had about 50 young girls and 20 women.
90% said lack of affordability for school fees.

75% said lack of access to school.
60% said lack of menstrual hygiene management support.
40% said early marriage.
Here are possible solutions that Kiota global can provide :

-Educate the community about the importance of girls' education and the negative impact of practices such as early marriage and gender-based violence.
-improving school infrastructure to provide basic amenities such as clean water and sanitation facilities.

-offering flexible learning options such as distance learning or evening classes, to girls who may have other responsibilities during the day.
-Providing menstrual hygiene management support to help ensure that girls are able to attend school regularly and without interruption.

Please, consider supporting and following us at Kiotaglobal.org to help girls remain in school.

Domestic violence is a serious problem in Africa, affecting women of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds. Many African countries have laws that prohibit domestic violence, but enforcement is often weak or non-existent, and cultural attitudes towards gender roles and women's rights can make it difficult for women to seek help or leave abusive relationships.

It is sad because most perpetrator of domestic violence when asked why they are treating their partner in this manner, said that they have the right to do whatever they want with their wives because they paid their bride price. No marrying someone's daughter doesn't give you the right over her and her life.

We are sharing this to raise awareness about domestic violence and encourage women all over the world to speak out, seek for help and cherish their lives and well-being first.

Quality education is important for women and young girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) for several reasons. Firstly, education can provide women and girls with the knowledge and skills they need to improve their economic opportunities and participate fully in the workforce. Additionally, education can empower women and girls to make informed decisions about their health and well-being and can help to reduce poverty and improve overall quality of life. Furthermore, education can also play a crucial role in reducing gender-based violence and promoting gender equality. Education can also be a powerful tool in breaking the intergenerational transmission of poverty, which affects many women and girls in the DR Congo.
This picture shows us the condition in which young girls are subjected to in poorly built schools in an underserved community of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

We have distributed Pads kit in Eastern/Western Kasai in DRC.
The women who received the pads were happy to see the Pads for the first time for most of them and learn how to use them and why it matters to use healthy and quality pads to avoid diseases from using unhealthy methods like pieces of clothes or bad quality pads.

There are many skilled and talented women around the world but specifically in the Democratic Republic of the Congo where our focus is. We will be making series of stories about Congolese women who have skills and talents that can be beneficial for themselves, their families and communities but are limited in terms of resources.
We help share stories of these resilient, strong and gifted women in the DRC. Sharing stories helps us connect with others and learn about one another. It can also change our perspective about someone or something.

Please consider reading Rachetee's story below and donate to keep her dream alive.
