The novel follows the story of Genly Ai, a human native of Terra, who is sent to the planet of Gethen [nicknamed "Winter"] as an envoy of the Ekumen, a loose confederation of planets. Ai's mission is to persuade the nations of Gethen to join the Ekumen, but he is stymied by a limited understanding of their culture. Individuals on Gethen are ambis*xual, with no fixed s*x; this situation has a strong influence on the planet's culture, and it creates a barrier of understanding for Ai.

Share, find support, and connect with others who understand your experience. Every Sunday, 2:30p-3:30p. We know disability and q***rness lie on intersecting marginalizing experiences, this group recognizes and supports that. If you, or someone you know would like to be apart of a growing community, please feel free to join! There is also a discord channel for the affinity group you can join as well!

Fan of cult classic, sci-fi, fantasy, q***r, horror, and all other types of movies? Come join our weekly film group for a community watch party! Snacks and drinks will be available at the space, but you're welcome to bring your own!

All are welcome, come as you are for a night of movies and community! While you're here come utilize our spaces resources!
