Most of the time when a child comes to our center, it is because they are a suspected victim of child abuse, which may already be a scary situation for the family to navigate. Our agency does our best to provide for the physical and emotional safety of the people who come through our doors so that they do not have to worry about being cold or hungry on top of everything else.

As a nonprofit, we are so grateful for the generous community members who help us out with donations, and we even received some today. Read below to see how you can help provide for the children and families we serve!

Indigenous Peoples Day is an opportunity to listen, learn, and recognize the importance of preserving cultural heritage, honoring lived experiences, and building communities where every child and family belongs.

This Monday, we’re taking over S. Bowery Ave. for a little color, creativity, and community fun!

Join Northern Michigan Alliance for Children for Paint the Pavement — a free afternoon where kids, families, neighbors, and community partners can come together and help us turn the street into something bright. 💛

Grab some play-clothes, add your masterpiece to the pavement, visit with local community partners, and help us send Gladwin kids back to school surrounded by a community that shows up for them.

🏓 Paddles Up. Hearts Full. What a Day! 💚💙

Our first Pickleball for a Purpose tournament is officially in the books — and we are still feeling incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make it happen.

Players showed up ready to compete, volunteers kept things moving, sponsors and community partners stepped up to support us, and together, we turned a Saturday on the courts into something much bigger.

Every registration, sponsorship, donation, and helping hand supported Strong Roots. Safe Kids. Save Prevention. — helping protect the prevention programs that put safety education, resources, and support directly into the hands of local children and families.

And because of our matching grant, every dollar raised through this event goes twice as far. 💙
