Yesterday, our Scout Pack and Troop 132 had the privilege of touring the historic C-47 That’s All, Brother! Before seeing the ins and outs of the plane, we heard firsthand about the aircraft’s remarkable role in World War II from one of its pilots.

What an awesome opportunity to experience this piece of living history! Thank you Boone County Regional Airport for hosting the Scouts!

Troop 132 first heard about “Big Brutus” during our salt mine overnight. We made a quick detour to see this giant in person and WOW! Zoom in… those tiny specks inside the wheel track? That’s the Troop!

And yes…they also climbed into the bucket. Big enough we probably could’ve set up camp in there for the night!⛺

Safe to say, Big Brutus lives up to his name.

Troop 132 took adventure to a whole new level, 650 feet underground! ⛏️

Our Scouts spent the night camping deep below the surface at the Strataca Salt Mine. From discovering how salt deposits were first found to learning about the history and modern day operations of the mine, this was hands-on learning at its finest.

Thank you Strataca for an unforgettable experience and memories to last a lifetime!
