Well, I want to let all of our FP know that it has been our honor to help you over the years. What you do with our foster children is a blessing. You are all a gift. You have been there to listen to their cries, their heartache, their anger, You have been there to hug them during those first few nights. You have been there to guide them through their journey. For everyone that has donated over the years, we thank you from the depths of our hearts. Our foster closet is officially closed. This is said with broken hearts. We are hoping that someone will pick up where we left off in supporting all of our FP and foster children. Our journey together will always be held in our hearts. Thank you for supporting us all these years.

Also, we would like to thank the Browns Corner Church for their donations of new coats, hats, and some winter boots. In the next couple of weeks, I will be going through all of my new coats and shoes and list what sizes I have to give to you for our children.

Again we thank you. God bless you all, it has been a wonderful journey. From all of us at Foster Closet of Clare County Inc. Rebecca, Tina, Shelby, Elizabeth, Faith, Journi, Kii, and Onnaleigh.

To all of my Foster Families and contributors. I am sorry for not being on here and speaking to all of you personally. The past 16 months have been very hard on my family. With Tina and myself along with our adopted little one, we have a low immune system and have had to shut the world down around us which has affected our family and you as well. We have been there with you for most of your calls in need of something for our children. This has been our goal for the last six years. We have helped well over 400 kids during our time here. With a heavy heart, I am sad to say this dream of ours, to be there with you for many more years has come to an end. The Church that has been home to us from the first day we started to the last day here has told us that we have to leave by September. They have given us no reasons but we have to leave. This is not the first blow we have received. As you know the church took away our three rooms and offered us only one. We are strong and believed in what we do so we made it work. We then asked if we could purchase a lock and put it on the door which they approved but they held the key. Ok, we were discouraged by this and then we could only come to our closet during office hours. This just left us in disbelieve as if they no longer trusted in us and the path God has led us on. So, we continued to do as they asked and now our final blow. When Pastor Mitch was there, he believed in our mission may be due to him being an adoptive parent. So he understood how hard it was on foster parents. When he left that belief left with him. The Board Members lost faith in what we do. I am not ungrateful for what the church gave us and to you, I am just left without understanding. We have looked for other spaces and we have hit a roadblock one we can not seem to pass. When looking back through all the years to all who have believed in us just brings tears to our eyes. I would like to share this list with you as well. These individuals and businesses believed in what being a foster parent is. They believed that children need a place to come home to and things to call their own. They believed in what YOU do. They believed in our CHILDREN. They believed these precious lives are our future that needs to be nurtured and this is what we do. They heard our silent prayers please let us help them. They stood up and said what can we do and did they do. We would like to personally thank

And to all I may have forgotten I am so sorry.
My Board Members who I would be lost without.
1. Tina (Vice President) Thank you for always standing behind this cause and always being there to respond to our Foster Families. You have been the brains behind the shadows. Thank you for you building our much-needed shelves. The closet would not have come so far without you and the support you have giving even when you had one eye injured. You know that is commitment. Thank you so much.
2. Shelby (Secretary) thank you for always keeping track of all our board transactions. Thank you for all your help sorting and organizing the usual hot mess the closet was in. Thank you for always being there when we needed you.
3. Elizabeth (Treasury) Thank you for all you do. Thank you for helping to sort and organize when we were downsized your support meant everything.
4. Kii (our daughter) started helping with the closet when she was only ten. She devoted her time to help sort and organize, she also helped children that came to the closet feel comfortable. She started her life in the worst of ways, she taught me that you can survive with love and hope.
5. Journi (our daughter) began helping at the closet when she was nine. She always was so eager to help us do anything we needed. She has played with little ones while parents shopped. She has been an inspiration of how well children can survive a terrible storm.

Thank you to all our foster families that help our children find love and kindness.
Thank you to all our foster children who may come broken but will rise and be what our country needs HERO’S.
Mostly we thank God for moving us down this path we have traveled for six years. We would look forward to where we are led next.
Thank you to all who have believed in us
We are asking if our parents need clothing, please contact us with sizes and while we are clearing things out, we can put together what we have for you only until August.
Always remember our motto: For every smile that appears on a child's face while visiting our closet may only last one minute but that one minute can begin to mend a broken heart.

With a heavy heart
President
