DECISIVENESS VS. DOUBLE-MINDEDNESS

This month we are focusing on the character quality of "Decisiveness". The decisiveness booklet includes four lessons from the Bible and Biblical characters that illustrate how God enables us to make the right decisions:

Commit to Do Right - Ephesians
Avoid Double-mindedness -Lingering Lot
Examine Things Before Making a Decision- Joseph
Make the Right Decision and Hold To It - Rechabites

Stretchy toys are fun to play with ....like this Gumby below. But what happens when we are "stretched" and asked to be flexible?Today we start our lessons on the character quality of "Flexibility". We will focus on how Joseph & Mary had to be flexible and open to a change in plans that really was a part of God's plan all along.

This month our character quality focus is Self Control. We have lessons that revolve around biblical character stories and how self-control, or the lack of it, is demonstrated in their lives. Come join us as we learn about how we can develop this character quality into our own lives today!

Tomorrow morning we continue to learn about "Gratefulness". We will share some of the things we have written in our Gratitude journals and make a gratitude card to share with someone we are grateful for. Our lesson tomorrow focuses on what keeps us from being grateful ...."murmuring and complaining". We will learn from the book of Numbers how Israel responded to their circumstances and how God taught them how to be grateful.

Today is the day we wrap up our lessons on "Persuasiveness" We have learned about bible characters who displayed this character quality. We will have our "G.E.M" "God Enables Me" Hunt this morning in Sunday School. Come help us search for some "treasures" and find out how God can enable YOU to be persuasive with the gospel!
