🏠 Weatherization can help people stay safe and comfortable at home, especially as they age.

During Community Action Month and Older Americans Month, we’re highlighting how Weatherization supports older adults and others in our communities.

Weatherization is about more than energy savings. It helps make homes safer, more comfortable, and easier to manage year-round.

Depending on the home, updates may include insulation, air sealing, furnace or water heater work, ventilation improvements, and other energy-saving upgrades.

These improvements can make a real difference by reducing drafts, improving comfort, and supporting long-term stability at home.

In fiscal year 2025, our Weatherization team:
• Weatherized 276 homes
• Invested more than $4.3 million in home energy improvements across Michigan
