Some of you may remember the songwriter workshops and events I used to host through NSAI and Arkansas Songwriters years ago before life, COVID, and everything else shifted the rhythm for a while.

I’ve really missed having a creative space where local songwriters could get together, learn, ask questions, share ideas, and simply be around other people who love writing songs - so I’m excited to finally bring that energy back in a new way through Room 24. ❤️

Starting this June, I’ll be hosting monthly songwriter workshops at George Guitars, each focused on a different topic related to songwriting, creativity, and the music business.

Our first session will be:

📍 George Guitars – Harrison, AR
🗓 Saturday, June 13
🕛 Noon–4 PM
🎟 $100 • All Experience Levels Welcome

We’ll talk about:
• Hooks and song concepts
• Song structure and melody flow
• Conversational lyrics
• What makes songs connect emotionally
• Common songwriting mistakes
• Real-world insight into today’s music industry

This is meant to be relaxed, encouraging, practical, and creative - not intimidating. Whether you’ve been writing for years or you’re just curious about getting started, you’re welcome.

SATURDAY MARCH 2, 2024 AT 3PM
We’re back! We’re so excited to bring the Arkansas Songwriters Workshop back to town. The event is led by Leslie Wright and is for all ages and all experience levels. You do not have to play an instrument to join us! Each workshop will feature a different theme.
We will do instruction and tips from 3pm to 5pm, take a break (most choose to go to dinner somewhere on their own or with others from the group), and then from 6:30pm to 8:30pm we will host an open mic for our participants. Those wanting to perform one of their original songs will be able to do so at that time. You are also welcome to play one of your pre-recorded songs. We will discuss the songs that are being performed and offer tips and insights. Location is below:
