SAVE The DATE! Our Dress for Success Inventory Reduction Sale is just around the corner!

The sale is taking place November 12-15 at the Colonial Park Mall in Harrisburg (you'll find us in the former American Eagle store).

Please consider supporting veterans in our community with a donation of coats, boots, hygiene items or non-perishable food for our Veterans Stand Down in November. The YWCA Greater Harrisburg will accept these donation from October 5-9 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the YWCA. Please see below for more information. We appreciate your support!

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001, and the lives forever changed that day.

We honor those we lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the service members who answered the call in the days, months and years that followed. We remember their courage, their sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of service that brought our nation together.

That spirit of service continues today.

In our own community, veterans are still facing homelessness, hardship and uncertainty. Through our Veterans Programs, the YWCA Greater Harrisburg works to connect veterans with safe housing, essential resources and the support they need to move forward.

This November, we will once again welcome veterans to our annual Veterans Stand Down—a day dedicated to connecting those who have served our country with resources, care and community.

As we remember those who served and sacrificed, we invite our community to carry that spirit forward. From October 5–9, the YWCA will collect new or gently used men's and women's coats and boots, along with new, unopened hygiene products and non-perishable food products, to distribute to veterans attending Stand Down.

Today, we remember. Today, we honor. And every day, we can continue to serve those who have served us.

Labor Day is a time to recognize the dedication, resilience, and contributions of workers throughout the United States. It's also a reminder that behind every thriving workplace and stronger community are people whose hard work drives progress every day.

At Dress for Success, we're proud to celebrate the women building careers, the volunteers sharing their time and expertise, the partners investing in opportunity, and the communities creating pathways to economic mobility. Together every role and every contribution helps create a future where more women can succeed and thrive.

Cooler months are coming, which means we need coats at Dress for Success South Central PA! We are in need of men's and women's coats as well as full-size men's toiletries. Donations can be brought to the rear loading dock of our location at 29 South 10th Street in Harrisburg on Mondays between 9AM and 3PM.

Don't forget - Our Inventory Reduction Sale is still going on this weekend! Drop by the YWCA Greater Harrisburg (1101 Market Street in Harrisburg - enter at the door facing the State Capitol). We're open Saturday from 10a.m.-6p.m. and Sunday from noon-3 p.m. Sunday is our Big Bag Blow Out sale where you can fill a bag full of clothes, shoes and accessories for a donation of $25. Fill two bags for $40.
