Healthy Steps Diaper Bank Healthy Steps Diaper Bank provides free diapers to local non-profit partners in the Greater Harrisburg area that they in turn distibute to families in need.

Our mission is to keep children clean, dry and healthy. Healthy Steps Diaper Bank’s mission is to keep children in Central PA clean, dry, & healthy. This is a critical piece in building a solid foundation for children to be able to reach their full potential. Unfortunately 1 out of 3 families struggle to purchase diapers. Neither WIC nor food stamps can be used to purchase diapers leaving many fam

ilies with nowhere to turn for help. Without a sufficient supply of diapers, parents are forced to keep their babies in diapers longer than is healthy for the child or even reusing diapers. Most child care centers, even free and subsidized facilities, will turn away a child who arrives without a day's supply of disposable diapers. Many parents cannot go to work or school if they cannot leave their babies at a childcare center. Cloth diapers are not a viable option for most families due to the vast majority of child care centers not accepting cloth diapers and laundromats not permitting the washing of cloth diapers at their facilities. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO BE SUCCESSFUL! Diaper Banks rely on the generosity of individuals, groups and corporate donors. Diapers are obtained through in-kind donations, diaper drives, and by purchasing diapers with donated funds. Healthy Steps Diaper Bank is always looking for individuals, churches, community organizations, and companies to conduct a diaper drive! We can provide you with information and/or collection boxes and will pick up the diapers at the completion of the diaper drive. Baby goat snuggling plus a diaper drive? How cute is that!

The UPMC Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant service committee organized a wellness and appreciation event for their nurse practitioners, PAs and their families on Saturday morning at The Real Batz Farm . The event included a snuggle session with the baby animals and a diaper collection for Healthy Steps Diaper Bank!

Over the past 2 weeks, the student council at Paxtonia Elementary School held their 4th annual diaper drive. They collected close to 2,000 diapers and delivered them to us on Wednesday!

We couldn’t do what we do without community support. Thank you to the Central Dauphin High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes, who raised $340 to support the diaper bank through their annual fundraiser last month.

The group held a Parent's Night Out where elementary aged kids could hang out with the high school kids for an evening of games, a bible lesson, snacks and fun. All donations went towards Healthy Steps. Thank you, CD FCA, for your support of the diaper bank! ♥️👶🏼

With the help of the Fund for Women & Girls Dream Team and community volunteers, we delivered over 7,500 diapers and over 4,900 period products to the Healthy Steps Diaper Bank, providing care for families in need across our South Central Pennsylvania.
