Wildheart Harrisburg Non-profit organization serving the Allison Hill neighborhood of Harrisburg, PA

Wildheart is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization is located in the heart of Allison Hill, an impoverished neighborhood within Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Standing on years of history to ministry within the community, we have taken over an historic Mansion that stands out among the ruins of our city. Wildheart is a transformative community of believers committed to empowering others to pioneer love in their cities and nations. We provide service and sponsorship opportunities for those who desire to impact their communities and see their cities transformed by the power of the Gospel. Locally, we have an initiative called “Love the Hill” which is focused on restoring and beautifying Allison Hill, while empowering her residents to break the chains and cycle of poverty. Within two short years, they have removed over 1 MILLION pounds of trash within 20 city blocks, affecting nearly 500 homes.

Today is National Farmer's Day! If you asked us ten years ago, we never thought we would have the opportunity to cultivate an urban farm in the middle of our city 🚜

We are grateful for our staff and volunteers who make the Hill Farm possible so we can provide fresh food and educational opportunities for our community. We have close to a dozen field trips lined up this Fall and we can't wait to welcome local students to the Farm 🌱

Is there anything more satisfying than a freshly mowed lawn? 🤔

By the end of 2026, we will complete our comprehensive 10-year plan that covers all 204 blocks of Allison Hill — impacting a total of 3,157 homes and 9,446 residents

Our volunteers have removed illegal dumpsites, repaired front porches, installed planter boxes and basic landscaping, and mowed grass to help restore our neighborhood to its former splendor! 🏘✨

Each year, Wildheart hosts two Church Day Out events: one in the Spring, and one late in the Summer to give local churches an opportunity to "leave the building" and make a positive impact in the community ⛪️ ❤️

Our Summer event saw 59 volunteers from 7 different churches serve in Allison Hill, where we picked up trash, cleaned up illegal dump sites, cut grass, beautified vacant lots, and more
