Sitting here today where I would be talking to my Uncle about the jukebox he is working on or the next wood project he will be starting. Instead I am thinking about how much I will miss these conversations. He was not only my uncle he was one of my supervisor for 20 years at Otis elevator he was a fellow Brother at the International Union Of Elevator Constructors. He was the supervisor that put me in the repair position that I remained in for almost 30 years. He helped me hone my troubleshooting skills. Uncle Daryl was one of the smartest Elevator Mechanics that I had the pleasure to work with. Brother/Uncle Retired Honoray Daryl Bixler You will be missed. God Speed.

I’d would like to thank first local 59,Harrisburg PA. for the beautiful get well flowers that were sent to Lynn. My wife of 55 years suffered a very bad heart attack requiring her to have open heart surgery 1 1/2 weeks ago. The amount of calls and texts from my brothers of Local 59 ,10 ,5,7, was unbelievable. Today she is in rehab. and recovering with therapy,again thanks to all my I.U.E.C. Brother and Sisters ,for all the prayers ,words of encouragement that was said to us. This right here is what I believe our great trade is about , Brotherhood, Sisterhood and just plain family . THANK YOU ALL FOR HAVING THE PRIVILEGE TO BE A 44 year member.
