Paxton Ministries is a Christian, non-profit community of homes serving adults who may be challenged with poverty, mental illness, and intellectual disability. We offer a supportive, family-like environment where love and compassion are a way of life—where dignity and self-worth are recognized in every individual.

A late summer day at Lake Meade was the perfect way to soak up the season! ☀️ Our group enjoyed a picnic lunch by the water, took relaxing boat rides across the lake, and spent time unwinding along the shoreline. From laughter and conversation to peaceful views and fresh air, it was a wonderful day of fellowship, friendship, and making memories together. We're grateful for these special moments and the beauty of God's creation as we savor the last days of summer. 💙🌊🚤

What a wonderful evening celebrating 45 years of God’s faithfulness to Paxton Ministries! ❤️

Our anniversary celebration brought together old friends and new, creating a special time filled with shared memories, meaningful conversations, and joyful reunions. As stories were exchanged and connections renewed, we were reminded of the countless lives touched through this ministry over the years and the many people who have been part of that journey.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate God’s goodness, reflect on the past, and look ahead with hope for the future. It was truly a memorable evening, and we are grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive community.

🎵Our residents are moving, stretching, and smiling with Grooves with Grace! 💪🎉

Director of Program Services Grace leads engaging exercise sessions designed specifically to help our residents improve their health, mobility, strength, and overall well-being. With her encouragement, positive energy, and personalized approach, every class is filled with fun, laughter, and movement.

We're so grateful for Grace's dedication to helping our residents stay active and healthy while creating an environment where everyone feels supported and empowered. Thank you, Grace, for inspiring us to keep moving one groove at a time! 💙

Paxton Ministries Announces CEO Transition

After five years of faithful leadership, CEO David Zilka has shared his plans to step down on February 27, 2027. The Board of Directors has launched a search for Paxton’s next CEO and is committed to a thoughtful, prayerful transition process. A huge thank you to all the incredible groups who helped make our Friends & Family Fall Fest Picnic such a success! From serving meals and leading activities to setting up, cleaning up, and spending time with our residents, your generosity and willingness to serve made the day truly special.

🍂 A Day of Fun, Family, and Community! 🍂

Our Annual Friends & Family Fall Fest Picnic was filled with laughter, connection, and special memories as residents welcomed their families and friends for an afternoon of fall fun!

Guests enjoyed games, hay rides, a dunk tank, a craft activity, music, and a delicious BBQ chicken dinner. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate community and spend quality time together in a festive atmosphere.

A special thank you to our event sponsors, Faulkner Subaru of Harrisburg and Daybreak Church, for helping make this day possible. We are also incredibly grateful to the volunteers from Grantham BIC Church, Harrisburg BIC Church, and the Faulkner Subaru Ambassadors, whose time, energy, and servant hearts helped create such a meaningful experience for everyone who attended.
