Harrisburg Youth Diamond League

The Harrisburg Youth Diamond League season came to an end this past weekend. It was a great season for our Bulldogs!!! We hosted 85 games this summer. We couldn’t have done that without the help of so many.

Thank you to the Harrisburg R-8 School District who allow us to use the fields for t-ball, softball and baseball!!!

Thank you to the maintenance staff of Harrisburg R-8 School District for mowing the fields and taking care of the trash!!!

Thank you to Jodi Gilpin, along with all of the students, who helped with our concession stands this summer!!!

Thank you to all of those who umpired this summer!!! There were many students and former students who umpires. There were community members and coaches who helped umpired.

Thank you to the players and parents for their dedication and support!!!

Thank you to the coaches who volunteered their time to help lead our youth this summer!!! They were tremendous leaders and representatives of the Harrisburg community!!!

Our Harrisburg youth teams played well today in the final day of the postseason tournament. Congratulations to all of our Bulldogs!!!

Bantams 1 (Wardrip) finished 2nd with a tough 9-7 loss to South Callaway.

Preteens (Pollard) finished 2nd with a tough 10-7 loss to Sturgeon.

Juniors (Skaggs) finished 3rd with a 6-5 win over Hallsville.

Harrisburg Jr. Bantams 1 4th grader, Wyatt Hathman with a big leadoff double in the final regular season game. He eventually would score the winning run for the Bulldogs vs Mexico!!!!

Here are the scores from today’s postseason tournament at Hallsville.

Harrisburg Preteens (Pollard) won 8-6 to advanced to tomorrow’s championship game at 11:00 am

Harrisburg Bantams 1 (Wardrip) won 15-11 to advanced to tomorrow’s championship game at 11:00 am.

Harrisburg Juniors (Skaggs) fell 8-6 and will play for 3rd place tomorrow at 1:00 pm

Let’s go!!!! We hope to see our Harrisburg softball players attend this camp on August 2nd.

Former Mizzou pitcher, Lindsey Heinlein, along with former Men’s Fastpitch USA team member, Chris Heinlein, and head coach of the Harrisburg Bulldogs, Coach Tessia Balke, will be providing a free instructional softball camp for girls entering grades Kindergarten through 12th grade on August 2nd.
