A perfect way to wrap up Educator Appreciation Week—celebrating excellence within our own team through Staff Recognition!

Today, we proudly honored two outstanding individuals whose impact is felt across our entire district:

🏆 Nichole Drexler, Liberty Elementary Tech Integrationist, was named Special Services Staff of the Year. Nichole’s dedication and commitment to supporting both staff and students through technology continue to elevate learning every day.

🏆 Jen Balster, Administrative Assistant at Freedom Elementary, was selected as our Support Staff Person of the Year. Jen’s organization, professionalism, and unwavering support keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes—often before anyone even knows it’s needed.

A special thank you to Architecture Incorporated for sponsoring these awards and helping us recognize the incredible people who make a difference every day.

These recognitions reflect not only hard work, but the heart our staff brings to our schools. Congratulations to both Nichole and Jen on these well-deserved honors—and thank you for all you do to support our students, staff, and community!

Thank you to every single person who helped make our Father‑Daughter Dance such a beautiful success. From the volunteers who decorated, to the staff who organized, to the families who showed up with so much joy — you created a night these girls will remember forever. It truly takes a village, and ours showed up in the best way. If there is anyone I missed please know it was not intentional.

LET ME EXPLAIN THE CHANGE IN THE NAME
Last year as a family was leaving the school a little girl was crying leaving the school with her mom. Her dad was on active duty. It broke my heart knowing that some people thought it was for Dads only. We decided to change the name so any girl that wants to come can bring her very important person in her life.
This dance is for every girl who wants to be there, and for every VIP who wants to share that special moment with her.
