Back to School has always been my favorite time of the year and I loved packing my lunch whether it was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in a brown paper sack or a thermos of hot soup in my Strawberry Shortcake lunchbox! To kick off this school year’s lunchtime safely, check out these tips from the At Home with UAEX team:

🥪📚 Back-to-School Lunches Made Easy! 🍎🥕

A healthy lunch helps fuel learning, growth, and play! As students head back to school, packing a nutritious lunch doesn't have to be difficult.

✅ Let your child help plan and pack their lunch—they're more likely to eat what they helped choose.
✅ Include colorful fruits and vegetables for added vitamins and fiber.
✅ Keep cold foods safe by using two ice packs or frozen water bottles.
✅ Switch up the usual sandwich with whole-grain pitas, tortillas, or English muffins.
✅ Pack water in a reusable bottle to help your child stay hydrated throughout the day.

Small changes can make a big difference in helping children stay energized and ready to learn!
