Young Professionals of Color - Greater Harrisburg Living or working in the HBG Area? New to Central PA? JOIN the YPOC community network today!

If you live in the Harrisburg area and are looking to expand your social circles, network or support local diverse community events, then the Harrisburg Young Professionals of Color (GHYPOC) group is for you!!!! We are young diverse professionals in our 20’s & 30s that are focused on socializing, community engagement, cultural awareness, networking, and personal growth with like-minded individuals. Some of us are locals and some of us are transplants but we’re all proud of our heritage and excited about sharing our stories and passions with each other and the surrounding communities

Fall foliage season is officially here! 🍁 Join us this Saturday at 10:30 AM for a ~3-mile hike through Weiser State Forest featuring gorgeous overlook views of the Susquehanna Valley.

Quick Logistics:

Meetup: 10:30 AM at Clarks Ferry Park & Ride (we’ll convoy to the trailhead together—parking is tricky and service is spotty!)

Pace & Distance: ~3 miles, ~2 hours, relaxed pace with an optional extension.

Gear: Wear sturdy boots (rocky/rugged trails) and bring water + snacks.

YPOC is hiring two Community Managers to help create welcoming, organized, and engaging spaces for our members.

We’re looking to fill positions supporting:
✨ YPOC
✨ BLACC CEO Network

As a Community Manager, you’ll spend most of your time on-site helping keep our spaces running smoothly—from welcoming members and managing the environment to watering plants, light cleaning, and making sure everything is ready for our community to thrive.

Here’s what you need to know:
📍 15–20 hours per week
💰 $15–$20/hour (based on experience)
📅 Start date: As soon as possible
