Kiwanis Club of Harrisburg Kiwanians are volunteers changing the world through service to the children of our communities. We are blessed to have two foundations.

The Club meets the 1st Thursday of each month at noon at Duke's Riverside. Formed in 1918, the Kiwanis Club of Harrisburg has over a century of service to the children of the community and the world. Today, through the generosity of our past members, our club is fortunate to be in an enviable financial position to continue the traditions of service. Our Youth Foundation provides funds to support many programs that serve young people. One very important program is the Susquehanna High School Key Club that provides leadership and service opportunities to teenagers who will one day be our future leaders. Our Scholarship Foundation provides funds for over a dozen $2000 scholarships every year to deserving high school seniors from many of the local schools. The Kiwanis Club of Harrisburg is much more than service. We also enjoy membership camaraderie at our monthly luncheon meetings at Dodge City Steakhouse. Please consider visiting us and learning more about how you can be a part of the positive impact Kiwanis makes throughout the world.

For the last 25 years, the Lititz Area Kiwanis Club and the Manheim Township High School Key Club have sponsored the Chocolate Walk. It has become a beloved event with 34 locations providing chocolate bliss to more than 34,000 walkers over the years! Proceeds support local charities that are focused on children.

Harrisburg club members Bobbie, April, Julie, Colleen, and special guest Mia provided a helping hand at the event 🍫

The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region sure makes it fun to support a good cause. Their 15th annual Shoe Strut was an overwhelming success!

Our favorite auctioneer extraordinaire and Kiwanian Erika Kelly sold amazing packages including Steelers/Eagles tickets and a beautiful pair of diamond earrings, totaling over $30,000.

We also had a trivia winner who credits her knowledge (and lucky guesses) to our years-long partnership with the Salvation Army 😄

Over 700 kids are getting a new pair of shoes thanks to this event 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

During our September lunch meeting, we welcomed Jimmy and Trecia Van Dyck from Mt. Lou San Bible Camp. They just wrapped up a fun summer of week long overnight camps as well as day camps, which are packed with activities like hiking, swimming, and arts & crafts.

We were happy to provide them with a Harrisburg Kiwanis Youth Foundation grant this year, which provided means for two children to attend camp!

To many of us, our pets are our kids! Members generously donated cans of cat and dog food to benefit the Humane Society. We were pleased to learn that they run a summer camp for human kids!
