Well done Deputy Clarence Stokes
The Pennsylvania Capitol Police are dedicated to identifying and providing opportunities for our officers to develop and grow as leaders. The latest example of that dedication is on display with Lieutenant Clarence Stokes and Sergeant Kristie Morgan who recently completed the Pennsylvania State Police Leadership Development Program (LDP).
The three-week course was an intensive and immersive curriculum that focused on scientifically backed methods that leaders can use to create balance between the goals of the organization and the needs of the employees. The curriculum is built upon four pillars: the Individual System; the Group System; the Leader System; and the Organizational System.
Inspired by the West Point Leadership Course, the PSP LDP is designed to enhance student’s leadership knowledge, skills and abilities by placing them in intellectually and philosophically challenging situations that force them out of their comfort zone and eventually raises their potential to become better leaders.
Congratulations to Lt. Stokes and Sgt. Morgan. We look forward to you bringing what you’ve learned back to the Capitol Police!
