Businesses and Organizations: Help Feed Local Families!

There's still time to join Bethesda Mission's Community Food Drive!

Host a collection box at your business or organization and invite your employees, customers, or members to donate nonperishable food items. We'll provide the box and pick up donations as it fills, so you can keep collecting through December 16.

It's an easy way to get your team involved while helping stock Bethesda Mission's Food Bank and provide food for local families.

Interested in participating? Contact Barb Russo Guarente at Bethesda Mission to get started!

A special thank you to M&T Bank, our Holiday Food Drive partner, and Sharp Shopper Grocery Outlet, our Blessing the Table Holiday Meal Bag sponsor, for their generous support.

It's more than a meal. It's a way to show a neighbor that someone cares.

A warm welcome starts with a little care. ❤️

Members of Grace United Methodist Church Hummelstown PA recently donated Welcome Kits for new guests arriving at our Men’s and Women’s Missions.

Each kit is filled with personal-care essentials, along with something extra special—a handwritten card with words of encouragement and prayer.

These kits are one of the first ways we can remind a new guest that they are welcomed, valued and cared for.

Thank you to Stacie, Jacky and everyone at Grace Church for helping us share Christ’s love in such a practical and personal way.

After-school is back! 📚

The 2026–2027 After School Program is underway at the Bethesda Mission Community Center.

Students kicked off the year with an Amazing Race challenge that had them working together to discover what they have in common.

With help from AGAPE students from Messiah University, they put creativity, collaboration and communication into action.

It’s just the beginning of another year of learning, growing and building relationships at the Community Center!

Now that’s a delivery!

Today, 684 pounds of food arrived at Bethesda Mission thanks to our friends at Oak View Group Hospitality.

That’s a lot of food that can now be put to good use in our kitchens, helping us serve our guests.

We love seeing good food stay out of the waste stream and make its way to tables at Bethesda Mission.

Thank you, Oak View Group Hospitality, for thinking of us again!

What happens to the clothes in that bag?

When a man arrives at Bethesda Mission’s Men’s Shelter, he may be carrying everything he owns with him.

One of the practical ways we welcome him is by washing his clothes.
It’s a simple thing, but clean clothes can bring comfort and dignity during a difficult time.

With nearly 100 men staying at the shelter each day, we do a lot of laundry. And right now, we need a new commercial dryer to keep it going.

We’re raising $11,200 through our Loads of Love appeal. Will you help?

At Bethesda, love sometimes looks like laundry. ❤️

Every day, approximately 100 men call Bethesda Mission’s Men’s Shelter home. Some arrive carrying everything they own in a single bag.

One of the first ways we can care for them is remarkably simple: we wash their clothes.

A clean shirt, fresh socks and freshly washed belongings can help restore dignity and remind a man that he is seen and valued.

Right now, we need a new commercial dryer to keep those Loads of Love going. Our goal is $11,200.

Will you help?

A Legacy of Caring

This week, we were honored to welcome Dilip Patel, Damu Patel, and Navnit (Brian) Zaver from the Harrisburg Gujarati Association of Central Pennsylvania to Bethesda Mission for a special plaque dedication in memory of Naranbhai Patel.

The plaque, displayed at our Medical Clinic, recognizes Naranbhai and the generous gift of $10,000 given in his memory to help provide medical care to those we serve.

We are grateful to the Harrisburg Gujarati Association of Central Pennsylvania for choosing to honor Naranbhai in such a meaningful way. His name and legacy will continue to be part of the care provided at Bethesda Mission for years to come.
