First off, our page administrator would like to apologize for not posting something sooner, but work and life has taken priority since the convention on June 13th.

At the Bi-annual convention held on June 13th, 2025, the facts were laid out again to all that were in attendance. Those facts are a total membership of 367 members, with only 92 of those being dues paying members and we drop more members for non-payment of dues each year then we take in new members. Couple that with a total income of just under $800.00 during the last fiscal year and that is not numbers that can keep an association moving forward. We had trimmed our budget to as close as bare bones as we could, taking measures such as moving to bi-annual conventions, sending one meeting notice card out a year and dropping the yearbook. This association has survived 7 years past when we were told that we would run out of money.

Dissolution was put to a vote at the annual convention and it passed unanimously with only one person abstaining from voting on the motion.

The executive officers of the Dauphin County Volunteer Firemen's Association have started the process of dissolution of the association. We will post updates to this page as we progress through the dissolution process. There are plans to donate items of prominence to the Pennsylvania National Fire Museum in the future.

CONVENTION MEETING NOTICE AND IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

The Annual Convention of the Dauphin County Volunteer Firemen's Association will be held on Friday, June 13th, 2025, at the HACC Public Safety Center, 1 HACC Drive, Gate #5. Upon entering the public safety center, please proceed to Room 205/207. A reminder that your dues must be paid up to date to enter the annual convention.

Timeline:
5:00 pm - Registration/Meal
6:00 pm - Memorial Service
7:00 pm - Meeting

The memorial service is scheduled to be outside and if you are not able to stand for the service, please bring a folding chair with you.

This is an IMPORTANT MEETING on the future of the association. At the convention a vote will be taken on DISSOLUTION of the association. Please plan on attending the meeting if you can.

It is being hosted by the Rutherford Fire Company located at 6600 Derry Street, Harrisburg, Pa, 17111.

A meal will be served at 7:00 pm with the booster meeting starting at 8:00 pm.

Also this is a reminder that your 2025 dues are now payable to the Financial Secretary. Dues can be paid by cash/check, checks can be made out to Dauphin County Vol. Firemen's Assoc. and can be mailed to:
