“We are proud to endorse Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick because he understands what working families are up against — and he has proven he is willing to stand with them,” said Matt Yarnell, President of SEIU PA State Council and President of SEIU Healthcare PA. “Brian does not just talk about supporting working people—he shows up, listens, and works across party lines to deliver for them. He has shown a consistent commitment standing with workers, protecting essential services, defending lifesaving healthcare, and standing up for the rights and dignity of our immigrant members, neighbors, and communities. At a time when billionaires and special interests have too much influence, we know Brian will continue to hold them accountable and prioritize the needs of working families and our unions.”

We look forward to working together to support this campaign in the coming weeks.

Yesterday, SEIU Local 668 met with members of the PA House to urge passage of a state budget that works for ALL Pennsylvanians ON TIME and without cuts to the vital programs families depend on.

We thank the House for passing the Governor’s budget and now call on the Senate to do the same. Our members made clear what’s at stake: funding for Medicaid, SNAP, Social Security claims determinations, resources to help seniors stay in their homes, support for Penn State, and the proposed PA Promise program, which would make tuition affordable for working students at any PSU campus.

The House has done their job. Now, it’s time for the Senate to get to work and do theirs. Pass the budget. On time. Without cuts. The people of Pennsylvania are counting on it.

"We don't need accolades, we just need funding for our jobs."--Vickie Rafferty, Chapter 4 Chair and Westmoreland County Area on Aging worker.

A fully-funded budget means that public service workers like welfare case workers, PSU faculty members, and 9-1-1 telecommunicators can continue to provide services that every Pennsylvanian can access.
